Jankar Sumdo




Jankar Sumdo, located at an elevation of 3860 m, is a charming town in the upper region of Lahaul and Spiti District. It is on the Udaipur-Gramphu trekking route, about 7 km to the north of Dakbajan. Jhankar Nala River flows through the town. Shashur Monastery, Tayul Monastery, Khardong Monastery, Suraj Tal Lake, Gepang Goh Peak, Mulkila Peak and Chandra Tal are sites to visit. Kullu Manali Airport is the nearest airport and the closest railhead is Joginder Nagar Railway Station.
