Janjira, the impregnable fort of the Siddis, is located in
Raigad District of
Maharashtra. It is a boat ride away from Rajpuri village, which is around 20-minute drive from
Murud.
The fort, which is continuously battered on all four sides by waves, withstood the onslaught of the British, Portuguese and Marathas.
