Jamuna Prapat




Also known as Bee fall, Jamuna Prapat is situated at Pachmarhi in the Hoshangabad District of Madhya Pradesh. This picturesque fall lies above the stream, which is the source of drinking water for the people of Pachmarhi. Among the several waterfalls in pachmarhi, it is the most accessible. This 50 m waterfall, gently cascading down the rock face, provides one of the most enchanting sights. The ten minutes walk over rocks and boulders from Apsara Vihar to the bathing pools at the top of Rajat Prapat provides enough thrill to adventure loving folk. An ideal getaway for those seeking solitude in the lap of nature, the place is thronged by hundreds of tourists every year. There are tourist offices run by Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation to cater to tourists’ needs. Tourist bungalows, holiday homes, cottages and budget hotels at Pachmarhi provide excellent accommodation facilities. Pipariya Railway Station, on the Mumbai-Howrah (via Allahabad) rail route, is the nearest railhead. Bhopal Airport is around 195 km away.
