Jammu and Kashmir Cottage Emporium is located at Bashir Bagh in
Hyderabad,
Andhra Pradesh. Established in 1996, the emporium one stop outlet for all Kashmiri Crafts. The outlet showcases some exquisite articles made using exemplary Kashmiri craftsmanship.
There are two impressive replicas of Taj Mahal (made with a single stone) and an ancient dragon temple of Ladakh. The 80-year old 'Treasure box', which belongs to the King of Ladakh, studded with original stones is also displayed here.
The emporium offers handmade silken and woolen carpets, chain stitch rugs and Dhurries, Wallnut wood furniture, stone carvings, camel bone lamps, silicon paintings, silken and paper paintings, ethnic tribal jewelry, hand embroidery shawls and suits and wooden elephants. Some exclusive articles from Agra and Jodhpur are also displayed in the outlet.
