Jamboni is located in west
Midnapore, 13 km from
Jhargram. The prominent attraction is the Jungle Mahal Fort, in the deep recesses of the tropical rain forests.
Kanak Durga Mandir, rebuilt in 1348, is also a place to visit. Devi Kanak Durga, a three-eyed and four-armed incarnation of goddess Parvati, is the main deity of this temple. In early days human sacrifices were offered. Now, goats and buffaloes are sacrificed on navami, or the ninth day of the Lunar month.
