Jamatia Tribe of
Tripura has their own indigenous basket for carrying firewood. This basket is made of bamboo splits having a width of 7 mm and thickness of 1.5 mm. The basket has a square base diagonally measuring 330 mm. The height measures up to 540 mm, while the rim has a diameter of 390 mm. The basket is slightly narrow in the middle forming a sandglass structure.
