Jamalapuram, also known as Telangana Tirupati, is a prominent pilgrim center in
Khammam District. It is situated at Errupalem taluk – about 80 km from
Khammam, the district headquarters.
A highly revered shrine in Jamalapuram is Lord Venkateswara Temple, which is thronged by devotees from various districts of Andhra Pradesh. The temple was renovated by Sri Krishna Devaraya of Vijayanagar Empire. Another attraction is Suchi Guta – a hill on which Jabali Maharshi did rigorous penance and won the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.
Errupalem Railway Station, on the Khammam – Vijayawada rail route is the nearest rail access.
