Jakhau Port

Jakhau Port is 14 km from Jakhau village and about 130 km from Bhuj in Kutch District. A major fishing port, Jakhau lies in Gulf of Kutch.

Yakshas and the Yadavas are believed to have landed at Jakhau during the pre-historic period. The name of the port Jakhau is said to have derived from the term `Jakh’, derived from `Yaksha’.
