Jai Vilas Palace is the focal point of
Jawhar in
Thane District. Surrounded by extensive cashew plantation spread over a massive area, the palace was the residence of the erstwhile tribal lords.
The palace is noted for its hall graced with lovely portraits of the Mukne clan. Besides, some intricate antique furniture, stuffed tigers and a huge lobby can be found in the upstairs.
