Jaggahalige Kunita

Jaggahalige Kunita is a folk dance of Karnataka. It is usually performed by 15 artists, during ‘holi’ and ‘yugadi’ festival. Jaggahalige is a huge drumming instrument, made of bullock cart wheel.

The chief choreographer controls the drum with a beating instrument called ‘kanihaligi’. The dancers march in a procession, carrying the musical instruments.
