Jabali Teerth




Situated on the Tirumala Hills, Jabali Teerth is a sacred pond in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh. It is about 3 km north of Shri Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati, a holy city.

Myth tells that Jabali Rishi lived near this pond for some time along with his disciples. It is also said that Sage Agastya had performed grand pujas to the lord of seven hills when he resided here for a long time.

By road, Jabali Teerth can be easily approached from Renigunta (10 km) and Gudur (100 km). The nearest railhead is Tirupati Railway Station.
