Italian Embassy Cultural Center, a branch of the Italian Foreign Diplomatic Mission, is located at
Chanakyapuri in
New Delhi. It was founded for spreading awareness about Italian tradition and culture in India and for reinforcing the friendly relationship between the people of India and Italy. Focused on these, the center organizes a wide variety of cultural activities including music and dance, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, fashion shows and film shows.
Italian language courses are conducted through its own language school and through Indian universities. The in-house library has Italian and Indian books. Other features are a multimedia hall with the latest equipment, a reading room and a restaurant.
