Island Tourism Festival is the fortnight long tourism festival celebrated in
Port Blair of
Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Organized by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration, it is held in every year between December and February. Different cultural and sports competitions are held, which charges the excitement of the people.
This colourful festival is devoted to dances, dramas and music. In addition to the dance performances by the local tribes, cultural troupes and artistes of national and international reputation are invited to perform.
Sports loving people find great pleasure in events such as Nicobari Hodi Race, tele games, canoe race, scuba diving and parasailing. Magic show, puppet show, floating restaurant, baby show and dog show are also organized.
