Irkam

Irkam is a sand barrier island on the center of Pulicat Lake in Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh. It is 99 km south of Nellore and is 63 km north of Chennai. Irkam and Venad divide the Pulicat Lake into eastern and western sectors. Prime attraction in the neighborhood is Pulicat Sanctuary. Tada Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
