Iran Culture House in
New Delhi, opposite to the Supreme Court of India, stands for advancing mutual understanding and cultural co-operation between the people of India and Iran. Information about Iranian art, culture and all aspects about the Islamic Republic of Iran is available from its Information Centre. The Persian language teaching centre of the house conducts primary, secondary and advance level Persian courses. Its research centre houses a wide range of reference and research books in the fields of Persian language and literature, and is helpful for all scholars or persons in India who are doing their research program in these areas.
The film and art division of the Iran Culture House contains video and audio tapes of classical music, art books, calligraphy models, attractive sceneries, handicrafts and various prominent Iranian films. The division conducts film festivals and cultural exhibitions in various parts of India. There is a library which houses more than 40,000 books in the field of Persian language and literature, human sciences, history of Iran, Islamic studies, world history, religions and Sufism and philosophy.
