Located in
Greater Noida on the outer areas of
Delhi and approved by IRQS (Indian Register Quality Systems), International Maritime Institute offers courses in maritime studies. Courses include pre-sea courses, degree courses, STCW courses and post sea value added courses.
IMI is equipped with state of the art training facilities. The Institute provides practical, theoretical, audio/visual and computer based simulator training to groom cadets into efficient mariners with good exposure to the latest technology and trends. In addition to academic and vocational training, great emphasis is laid on the overall development of the cadets by making it a fully residential programme. Cadets are required to stay at the campus from the time of joining till the time they pass out after completion of the course. Learning to swim is compulsory for all. IMI has its own swimming pool where cadets are taught swimming by a trained lifeguard and swimming instructor.
Comfortable modern accommodation, wholesome meals of international standards and a well-stocked library are provided. The curriculum includes facilities and sports, boat and fire drills, elocution and debates. Study time is allowed in the evenings and on Sundays to enable students keep up with the syllabus.
