International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), formerly known as Demographic Training and Research Centre, is situated at Deonar,

Declared as a Deemed University in 1985, this is the only institute of its kind in the world. This institute offers regular teaching programs and short term training programs on various issues related to population and other allied fields. It also conducts a number of research projects on various aspects of population. Besides, it undertakes evaluative studies and large-scale surveys.
