International Dolls Museum

International Dolls Museum is located at Bal Bhawan, in Sector 23, Chandigarh. Opened in 1985, the museum is managed by the Indian Council of Child Welfare, Chandigarh. Its main aim is to attract and provide amusement to children. Dolls are living entities to children and hence an important means of communication.

International Dolls Museum, divided into various sections, exhibits over 300 dolls from nearly every country in the world. Indian dolls are showcased under an exclusive Indian section. Small dolls depicting the scenes from famous tales such as Alladin and his Magic Lamp, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Ali Baba and Forty Thieves and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are the major attraction.

A huge model of a German railway station, situated right in the middle of the big hall, is a delightful exhibit. Ten ceramic murals of important landmarks of different countries along with other more colored blowups form the backdrop.

International Dolls Museum is open from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs on all days except on Sundays and official holidays.
