Established in 1962 by Alladi Ramakrishnan, Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSC),
Chennai, is a national institute for fundamental research in Mathematics, Theoretical Physics and Theoretical Computer Science. IMSC conducts academic meetings, associateship program (for college and university teachers), post-doctoral program, M.Sc-PhD integrated program, and doctoral program in theoretical physics, mathematics and theoretical computer science. The Institute houses has an excellent library, latest computing facilities with high speed internet, hostels, guest-house and facilities for hosting scientific meetings.
