Infosys Foundation, a public charitable trust, started its activities in 1996 in Karnataka. The primary aim is to improve the health, education and basic facilities that help a large number of individuals and institutions. The foundation has executed projects in the areas of health care, social rehabilitation and rural development, learning and education and arts and culture. At present, the services are available in the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa and Punjab.
