Industrial India Trade Fair, a mega show, is the largest of its kind in eastern and north-eastern India. The fair aims at the industrial progress of eastern and north-eastern regions of India and other states, encompassing various sectors. It is organized by the Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, India Trade Promotion Organization and Government of West Bengal. During the fair, industrial seminars and cultural programs are conducted. Besides the SAARC countries, the other leading nations that have significant presence in the fair through participation include China, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Iran.
Programs include display of products, equipment, technologies and services related to engineering, telecommunications, handicrafts, agro-based industries, health care and transport. The next trade fair will be held for the 18th consecutive year during December 20—31, 2004 at Kolkata.
