Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology




Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), formerly known as Orissa College of Engineering, was founded in 1982 by the government of Orissa. Affiliated to Utkal University, the institute is about 5 miles away from Talcher on the banks of river Brahmani.

The college conducts bachelor of engineering courses, engineering diploma courses, part time evening diploma courses, post diploma in computer application, and MCA.

The institute has well developed laboratories equipped with modern sophisticated instruments. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls.
