Established in 1993, the Indian Institute of Plantation Management,
Bangalore, acts as an intellectual resource base for agricultural business and plantation sector. It caters to the soaring needs of the sector through a variety of programs on management training and research.
The courses conducted by the Institute include Short Term Executive Programmes (STEPs) and a one-year postgraduate diploma course in plantation management. The Institute also facilitates action-based research and postdoctoral programs. It undertakes consultancy assignments and actively participates in inter-institutional programs for exchange of scholars.
Spacious classrooms, a well-stocked library and computer centre, open-air cafeteria, and hostel are other facilities.
