Indian Institute of Chemical Biology is situated on Mullick Road,
Kolkata. It was established in 1935. The institute is managed by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
The institute offers modern biomedical research facilities in Cellular Physiology, Biotechnology, Human Genetics and Genomics, Immunology, and Biproduct Chemistry. Other areas of interest are gastric hyperacidity and ulcer, muscular dystrophy and related disorders, macromolecular structure function analysis, development of targeted drug delivery systems, sperm biology, and protein chemistry and enzymology.
Internet facility, confocal microscopy, DNA Analyzer, electron microscope, and an animal house are also available.
