Built in 1744, Ilayangudi Melapallivasal Mosque is situated at
Ilayangudi, in
Sivagangai District of
Tamil Nadu. It has two minarets of 90 ft high. Constructed in 1985, these minarets are the tallest in the town. The mosque houses a Madrasa, library, and rooms to accommodate visitors.
Ilayangudi Melapallivasal Mosque is situated in the south side of Ilayangudi. Ilayangudi is accessible by road from Karaikudi (25 km) and Madurai (70 km). Karaikudi Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
