Ilampillai

Ilampillai, also spelt Elampillai, is a small town in Salem District of Tamil Nadu, about 20 km west of Salem. Konganapuram lies to the west, Pappampadi to the north, Suramangalam to the east and Attayyampatti to the south.

There is a famous Shri Kailasanathar Temple at Taramangalam, which is 11 km north. Sankakiri Fort is another attraction nearby.

Nearest airport is Salem Airport. The major railhead close to Ilampillai is Salem Junction Railway Station.
