Hyderabad Puppet Theatre, founded in 1984 at
Hyderabad, hosts entertaining and educative shows with puppets. It is mainly devoted to school going children, especially for the handicapped. It aims to impart education while entertaining.
Hyderabad Puppet Theatre consists of both traditional and modern artists. The puppet plays are suitable for all age groups. The theater presents one-hour plays such as Leela Krishna, Sundara Kanda, Jhansi-Ki-Rani and Alluri Seethamma Raju. It also presents a 45-minute play called Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda in English.
