Husari Dance




Husari is a religious dance performed in Assam. This is a group dance performed by men. This dance is performed in an open space.

It consists of singing of hymns by an elderly person, followed by other members in the group. The music, that accompanies it, is not uniform. The dance lasts only for a minute or two. The songs describe Bihu, the main festival of Assam.
