Huchchappayyagudi Temple




Huchchappayyagudi Temple, built around the 7th century AD, is an ancient shrine situated in Aihole, Karnataka.

It is one of the most ornate temples built in Shikhara style during the period of Chalukyas. The temple has an ornate doorframe and superior sculptures on the cardinal niches of the sanctum.

Aihole is 46 km from Badami and 19 km from Pattadakkal. The nearest railhead is at Bagalkot.
