Hosdurg Fort is an imposing structure located at
Hosdurg, a village in
Kasargod District. It was built by the Somasekhara Nayak of Ikkeri dynasty. The fort is surrounded by a high brick wall with round bastions.
Today, several public offices are operating within the premises of the fort. The famous Karpooreshwara Temple is attached to this fort. The Nithyanandashram, an internationally recognized spiritual centre, is a nearby attraction.
Hosdurg is about 70 km from Mangalore.
