Horse Dance, a widespread dance form in
Guntur District, is performed by both men and women. The dancers make life-size horse puppets with cattle-dung, hay and husk and color which resemble real horses. The middle portions of the puppets are hollow and the dancers stand on these. It seems as if they are riding on a horse back. Horse dance is performed during marriage processions and fairs.
