Hornbill Festival, is a cultural festival celebrated in the first week of December in
Nagaland. This festival focuses on reviving, protecting and preserving the richness and uniqueness of the Naga heritage. It is a cultural extravaganza showcasing Nagaland's traditional and cultural heritage in all its diversity. This festival provides the tourists an opportunity to know more about the customs, food habits, sports, dances and songs of the people in Nagaland. It is organized by the collaborative effort of various tribal unions and concerned NGOs/organizations.
