Hornbill Camp is a complete camping facility in
Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, about 20 km from
Kothamangalam in
Eranakulam District.
The camp offers furnished tented accommodation with all requisite facilities of comfortable living. The tents feature en-suite bath, insect proofing and excellent homemade food made with home-grown spices. Solar lanterns supply a modicum of lights at nights. The best time to visit this camp is from October to April.
Aluva Railway Station, 48 km away, is the nearest railhead. Cochin International Airport is 71 km away.
