Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) is situated in
Mumbai city,
Maharashtra. It was established in July 1974 and runs under
Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai.
Classes are provided from primary school level to undergraduate college level. Research facility in the areas of cognitive studies and mathematics education, attitudinal studies, cognitive science, and history and philosophy of science are offered. The graduate school conducts various graduation programs related to science education.
Teachers are also provided with training in science and mathematics. The center publishes text books in school science and mathematics. Various exhibitions and development programs are also conducted. Other amenities provided are audio-visual room, well-equipped laboratories, modern library, auditorium, lecture halls, seminar rooms, and hostel facility for the students.
