Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre is situated at
Dharamsala in
Kangra District,
Himachal Pradesh. It aims at creating an inspiring environment for learning and practicing yoga. Established in 1985, the center is structurally similar to the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in
Pune.
The area surrounding the building comprises of a garden with 4 ponds. The center conducts intensive yoga course, teacher’s training course, special courses in yoga and ayurveda, general classes, therapy classes and special yoga classes for children.
A children’s school operates during the spring and summer seasons. Accommodation facilities are available around the center. Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre has a sub-center in Goa.
