Hidimbeshwara Temple is one of the important temples in
Chitradurga District of
Karnataka. It is a cave shrine on the hill fort in
Chitradurga, an old town situated 200 km from
Bangalore.
A huge kettledrum, 6 ft in height and 10 ft in circumference, found here is said to be Bhima's, one of the Pandava brothers.
This ancient shrine is surrounded by the temples Ekanathamma, Phalguneshwara, Gopalakrishna, Anjaneya (Lord Hanuman), Subbaraya and Siddeswara.
