Hero Festival is an important harvest festival of
Ho community in
West Singhbhum District of
Jharkhand.
Hero means sowing. No one sows any seed before the celebration of this festival. Pujas are offered in the field.
The festival falls either in May or in June. On this occasion, the houses are repaired, cleaned and painted. Dance and songs are an essential part of this colorful festival.
