Hebbal Lake is a large picturesque tank located in north
Bangalore, on National Highway No 7. The lake is of immense significance, as it is home to numerous migratory birds which fly south for winter. Earlier, the water of this lake was used for drinking purposes, but the lake has sustained heavy damage due to the continuous inflow of untreated sewage and effluents from the catchments area.
