Hatkeswar Mahadev Temple




Hatkeswar Mahadev Temple is a highly revered shrine located in Raipur District of Chhattisgarh. It is believed to have been built in 1402 by Hajiraj Naik during the rule of Bramhdeo Rai (the son of Kalchuri King Ramachandra). The presiding deity is Lord Shiva.

Close to this temple is the Mahadev Ghat, one among the places of faith and worship of Hindus. The ghat is about 5 km from Raipur, on the banks of the Kharun River.

The nearest access points are Raipur Bus Station and Raipur Junction Railway Station. Rickshaws and tongas are regularly available from Raipur to the temple.
