Harila Jori

Harila Jori is a legendary village located in the northern side of Deoghar, about 8 km from the famous Baba Baidyanath Temple. It is believed that the place was full of Myrobalan (Haritaki) trees during the ancient period. There is a stream locally known as Ravana Jori. Devotees believe that this place got the name Harila Jori because Lord Shiva and Vishnu met here.

Main attraction is a Shiva Temple built by Achintan Das. A holy tank called Shool Harini tank is also worth visiting.

Deoghar Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
