Hansraj (Adiantum capillus-veneris Linn) is a fern, which belongs to the family Maidenhair and is found widespread in
Manipur.
It is considered a pectoral, demulcent, expectorant, and tonic. Hansraj boiled in wine is given for the treatment of hard tumors of spleen, liver and other viscera.
