Hampi Bazaar




Hampi Bazaar at Hampi, a UNESCO certified World Heritage Site, was one of the important thoroughfares in the ancient city of Vijayanagar.

Hampi Bazaar was one of the longest streets laid out by the Vijayanagar kings and is 32 m wide and nearly 732 m long. This street also has beautiful houses, which reminds about the ancient architecture.

Hemakuta Hill, Virupaksha Temple, Vittal Temple, Sule Bazaar and Achyutaraya Temple are the local attractions in and around Hampi Bazaar. The bazaar is a favorite tourist hangout with many restaurants catering to all kinds of tastes.
