HMS Institute of Technology was established by the HMS Education Society, during 1997-1998. Affiliated to
Visveswaraiah Technological University, it offers 4 years degree course in engineering in the field of computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering and Management.
Laboratories, workshops and computer centers are fully equipped with latest equipments. A library is also attached. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls. Facilities for sports and extra-curricular activities are also provided.
The Institute is located on the National Highway 4 in Tumkur. It is about 60 km from Bangalore towards Mumbai.
