Gurdwara Neem Sahib is located at the Dogra gate, near Sivan Gate, on the Chika Pehowa Road, in
Kaithal of
Haryana. It is associated with
Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib, the ninth guru of Sikhs.
Guruji stayed here during his journey from
Anandpur Sahib to Delhi. After taking bath at the Thandar Tirth early in the morning, he sat in meditation under a neem tree at this place.
A large number of devotees assembled here during this time, among which one was suffering from severe fever. Guruji gave him the leaves of the neem tree. The devotee was cured, and from this incident, the Gurdwara got its name ‘Neem Sahib.’
All gurpurabs are celebrated here and a langar is organized every month on Sangrand, the first day of the month according to the lunar calendar.
