Gurudev Siddha Peeth, a pilgrim center for the followers of the Siddha Yoga Path, is situated at Ganeshpuri, a secluded rural setting in
Thane District of
Maharashtra. The ashram situated in the natural beauty and sacred atmosphere of the place make it an ideal spot for Siddha yoga students.
Gurudev Siddha Peeth follows the Gurukula (residential schools of ancient India where students stay with their spiritual masters during the period of education) education method. The spiritual center of the ashram houses the temple of Bhagwan Nityananda and the Samadhi shrine of Swami Muktananda. The residential portion of the ashram is reserved for Siddha yoga students. The students can participate in the daily schedule of meditation, chanting Hatha Yoga courses and contemplation.
The visitors are advised to wear traditional Indian clothes for meditation and classes.
