Gurkha Houseboats in
Nagin Lake is managed by Welcom Heritage group. A blend of old world charm and luxury, it has 6 houseboats having 3-4 double rooms with attached baths, dining room, money changer, sitting room with verandah and hot and cold water. Doctor on call and room services are provided. Kashmiri, Indian and English delicacies are served. Shopping can be done with vendors carrying goods in Shikaras (a sort of boat). Besides, they provide arrangements for activities such as fishing and trekking.
Moghul Gardens, Shalimar Garden and Nishat Garden, flower-decked valleys of Gulmarg, Pahalgam or Sonamarg and Old wooden city of Srinagar are the major sites worth visiting. The nearest international airport is in New Delhi and domestic airport is in Srinagar. Jammu is the railway station nearby.
