Gurdwara Sangat Sahib is one of the prominent gurdwaras, situated inside the old
Nanded town, in
Maharashtra. The name suggests that a Sikh Sangat existed in Nanded since the time of Guru Nanak Dev's visit, or before the time of
Guru Gobind Singh’s stay here.
It is believed that the treasure found at Gurdwara Maal Tekri Sahib was brought here for distribution among the 300 odd warriors accompanying the Guru and got the rest of it buried here again.
Gurdwara Sangat Sahib preserves the shield with which the treasure was dished out as a sacred relic.
Gurdwara Sangat Sahib is frequented by thousands of devotees from far and near.
Nearest domestic airport is Aurangabad Airport (260 km). Nanded Railway Station, served by the South Central Railways, is the nearest railhead.
