Gurdwara Nimsar, a Sikh shrine, is located at
Ghurani Kalan village in
Ludhiana District of
Punjab. It is associated with
Guru Hargobind Sahib, the sixth Sikh guru. Tradition has it that the guru stayed here for several days. This
gurdwara has been erected at the site where Guru Sahib used to sit early in the mornings for meditation. It was renovated in the 1970s.
In the vicinity of this shrine there is a big neem tree believed to have been planted by the guru; hence the name Gurdwara Nimsar.
