Gurdwara Nagina Ghat Sahib

Gurdwara Nagina Ghat Sahib is a highly revered Sikh shrine situated south-west of Takhat Sahib, in Nanded, Maharashtra. It was built by Raja Gulab Singh Sethi of Delhi and was completed by his widow in 1968. The gurdwara stands on a high plinth consisting a square hall in which Guru Granth Sahib is seated on a canopied palaki of white marble, and a smaller square room topped by a dome on the first floor.

Legend associated with the shrine is that it was on this spot a rich merchant presented a costly Nagina (precious stone in gold) to Guru Gobind Singh which he flung into the river. When the merchant looked in to the river he was amazed on seeing millions of jewels lying at the river bed.

Gurdwara Nagina Ghat Sahib is frequented by thousands of devotees from far and near.

Nearest domestic airport is Aurangabad Airport (260 km). Nanded Railway Station, served by the South Central Railways, is the nearest railhead.
