Located at
Garhmukteshwar in
Ghaziabad District, Gurdwara Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib is a historic shrine in
Uttar Pradesh. It is believed that the ninth Sikh Guru,
Guru Tegh Bahadur, had sanctified this place with his presence. This is the place where the
guru is said to have emancipated Raja Nakh who had been in the form of a snake by a curse from Rambha, an
apsara.
Functioning under the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee, the Gurdwara observes the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur with religious importance. Apart from this, thousands of devotees from every nook and corner of the region gather here on amavasya every month.
Indira Gandhi International Airport of Delhi is the nearest airport.
